Honoring Jyoti Wind, My Beloved Teacher
Beloved one…
You were one of my very first teachers.
The foundation of my work has been built upon the medicine you so generously shared with me—
when I was a young, mystically inclined seeker.
You offered your deep wisdom, your training in astrology, and the sacred foundations of shamanism.
You helped me step onto the path of truly knowing myself.
Your favorite story about my astrology—Saturn in Leo at the Midheaven—
was how you told me I was born to teach.
And I said, “No fucking way!”
And you just smiled and said, “Yup.”
And now… here I am.
Teaching for twenty-six years.
Your kindness, your mentorship—
has always held a sacred place in my heart.
In December of 2023, I was standing beneath a sacred tree in the ʻĪao Valley.
Broken-hearted after a death initiation…
after the fires on Maui…
after the loss of my beloved kitty.
Devastated on a soul level—preparing for a beautiful ceremony,
with flowers strewn across the forest floor…
And then—I heard my name.
I looked up… and there you were.
Standing beneath the tree.
You had never been to Maui.
The chances of us meeting like that, in that place, in that moment—
absolutely divinely orchestrated.
I stood there staring at you—eyes wide, heart open—
in awe, in disbelief, in holy recognition.
I’m so grateful for our deep friendship, for our kinship, for your mentorship.
Last year, on my way through Boulder,
we shared a full-day deep drop-in—just before I left for my year-long pilgrimage.
I carried that visit with me the whole way.
And just recently, you reached out for a session.
It was one of the greatest honors of my life to share my work with you.
You were so masterful in your own medicine that it only took 20 minutes to move some big energy.
Afterward, you told me how powerful it was for you…
and that you felt like you learned from me.
Those words meant the world to me.
I’m so grateful we shared another day together recently while I was passing through town—
diving into stories of your life,
into astrology, shamanism, mystery, and magic.
You told me, “I will no longer be the matriarch of my family. I am stepping down from holding this role.”
You will be missed by many.
I love you to the moon and back.
I am beyond grateful for everything you’ve given me.
Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for walking beside me.
Thank you for being the kind of woman I could trust with my becoming.

And now, beloved one…
I welcome Archangel Michael,
your well ancestors,
your helping spirits and guides,
the celestial beings—
to surround you in love and in light,
to welcome you with open arms,
to carry you home across the rainbow bridge.
You are remembered.
You are missed.
You are loved—always and forever.
With Grace,
Naomi Amaya Love
